SuperSplitting conducts regular Webinars.  The fee for each webinar is $385. Subscribers can register for these webinars for free as part of their subscription. Past webinar topics include:

Each year there is an annual review of cases related to superannuation that have occurred during the year. Each webinar will entitle you to 1 CPD point (check with your local Law Society to confirm).

Precedent Orders & Agreements

It is important when orders are made to make sure they are right, both to avoid the Trustee rejecting them but also to protect your client’s interest, whether you act for the subscriber or non-subscriber. Form 6 Online

We are developing a tool that allows you to generate a Form 6 for most superannuation funds so that you may apply to the fund for information for family law purposes.

Calculator

The calculator provides calculation of the interest adjustment on a base amount.  For accumulation funds, you insert the return rate.  For defined benefit super and self managed super, the calculator inserts the prescribed interest rate, according to the rate determined by he Australian Government Actuary. Case Conference

If you need some pointers on your matters, a case conference is available for the fixed fee of $990 for subscribers and $1,320 for non-subscribers.  Let you client know that they can participate as well.

Expert reports

The Full Court in Bulow & Bulow [2019] FamCAFC 3 (18 January 2019) held that the trial judge should have evidence of the nature, the form and the characteristics of the superannuation interest as well as evidence about the effect of any order being sought so that the trial judge is able to determine the overall justice and equity of the orders.

An expert superannuation report will provide the necessary evidence in line with Bulow’s case.  It will also provide evidence across a range of percentages or base amounts for any order that is being sought.
